Witches Night Out

The next event on our calendar was "Witches Night Out". Gardner's Village in the Salt Lake area sets up the entire place with witches. My in-laws go every year and we have never been able to go . I was excited that we would be able to go . When I told Makena about going she  was so against the idea. She was worried about being a scary witch. I told her we did not have to be scary. She said she would only go if we could be "fancy witches". So I set out to make fancy witch skirts. During the day we walked around all of the shops and then went back to our hotel to get dressed up in our witch costumes. I loved all the different witches they were so much fun!

 Friends that we had met in Texas also happened to be in the area for the day and were able to meet up with us.

 The day just wore out this little witch!

The Little Mermaid

Another trip to Utah and Cali. When we went to St George "The Little Mermaid" was playing at the Tuacahn theatre. We loved the show. Makena was so excited and sang along with each song.

 

This was her chance to meet Prince Eric. Talk about one happy girl.

Oklahoma State Fair

Oklahoma State Fair 2011. September 15th. Makena looks forward to the state fair every year and knows it comes around her birthday. She doesn't understand why she has to wait so long for her to have to go to the fair. We went with a couple of friends and got to play for the day. I have always let Makena do a pony ride, but this time we found a camel ride. She was so excited we had to ride of course.

 

 We both love a good funnel cake!

 We decided to get the kids the bracelets to ride the rides. Since they could, they decided they needed to ride every kid ride they had!

 Of course we had to go to the petting zoo
