Introducing The Beautiful "PRINCERELLA"

Happy Halloween!!
This year Makena wanted to be "Princerella" as she calls her. I think that name works just as well if not better than Cinderella.
Friday afternoon, we went to Chris' squadron building to do some trick-or-treating. She learned very quickly to say "trick-or-treat" and then grab a huge handful to fill her bucket. She was so excited that people were giving her candy.
Saturday night, we went to the church for a trunk-or-treat. There were three wards so there was so much candy for these two year old hands to grab.
I thought getting pictures with other princesses would be fun. I thought they were beautiful.
Aren't they lovely!!
Here is Princerella and Belle
I can't believe how big and grown up our little princess looks.
Makena and her friend Elliot. These two girls love to play.

Checking out the goodies and looking for a treat.
And here is all the
SPOILS!!!
I can't believe how much candy a little princess can get. We had a great Halloween and hope everyone else did as well.

Carving Pumpkins Is Soooooo Much Fun

Tonight we got to have our Family Night of carving pumpkins. Makena and I have been waiting all week to be able to carve our pumpkins with Daddy. He has such a crazy schedule that it is hard to find a time to gets things done. But, tonight was our night. Makena picked her pumpkin out at the store and wanted the little one.
Like her bows? That is one of my many projects I have been working on is making her some korker bows. I loved how these turned out.
EWWWWWWWW!!!!! She did not like how the inside of the pumpkin felt. Which surprised me because I thought she was going to go crazy with all the insides. You never know.
Daddy hard at work.

Mommy and Makena enjoying being done.
Here's my pumpkin.

Here's Chris'

We were sad, but Makena's pumpkin was to hard and it broke when Chris tried carving it. However, the picture she chose had a "spiderman" as she calls them.

Playin' In The Rain

Every time it rains Makena wants to run outside. She gets so excited. Depending on how warm it is when it rains, she gets to get wet. The other day it was really warm while raining and I thought it was the perfect time for her to get wet. She had so much Fun!!

The Return Of "Uncle Josh"

Two years ago, Makena's Uncle Josh, left on a mission for our church to West Virgina. He saw Makena a few days after she was born and then again at three week. This was the last time he saw her until last week. He returned from his mission and (yeah for grandma) who brought him out to visit. Makena was so excited to see him again. She has pictures, but of course no memories.
Here was them two years ago.

And now two years later...
She followed him around and loved playing with him. She was giving him a rock. To others, not so great a gift, but from Makena it's the same as gold. She has this huge fascination with rocks.

She was showing him all the flowers.

Awwwwwwww!!
We loved this picture. Just them hanging out and not knowing we were taking pictures.

Love you Uncle Josh!!!
Glad to have you home.

Yeah for Family!!

Since we live so far away, we love and enjoy everyone who comes to visit. Grandma and Aunt Annie came along with Uncle Josh.

Makena loves her grandma.
During this trip, she really got to know Aunt Annie.

Need I say more!!!

At the Alamo.

Thanks for a wonderful time. We love you all.

Stampin' Good Time

Makena has loved to get into my scrapbooking stuff since she was able to do so. She was intent on pulling every piece of paper and every embellishment out of the drawers. I would always tell her "no" in fear that she was going to ruin everything (and by the way, this stuff is not cheap). However, I did not want Makena to think that scrapbooking was "wrong" or "bad" by not letting her see what this was all about. So I decided it was time to let her try it out. This weekend I got a new stamp set with turtles and frogs and she was so excited. I showed her how to use the stamps and she had a great time. And truthfully, so did I. This morning she asked to stamp again, so we got out the stamps and even got out some more animals ones for her to use.

She was stampin' happy!

I love "Close to My Heart" stamps because they are clear and they don't take up as much space. I love to be able to see where I am stamping, leaving less room for me to make mistakes, which I am so good at. Sorry for those who use Stampin' Up and you're welcome to Nicole.

Look at that technique. Could any scrappy mom be happier.

Just the two of us having a stampin' good time!

We stamped turtles, frogs, alligators, monkeys, lion, elephants, hippos and more. We had a blast!
