Last Sunday, we went to Chris' Squadron Easter Party. This was the first of the season. (We were to go to an Easter Egg Hunt the day before, but we went to the wrong place and did not see the signs that said it had been moved)
We met at a park on base. They had a BBQ dinner, egg hunt, and a blow up house.

Makena loves the playground.
She really loved the blow up house. The slide off of it was her favorite.
She was so excited for the Egg Hunt, but not so excited to hurry and wait for it to start.

Once it started, the smile returned and she loved chasing down the eggs.

She still did not like the Easter Bunny. Maybe next year.
The Easter Bunny passed out bottles of bubbles. This is one of Makena's favorite things.

She is so adorable and I would be scared of that Easter Bunny too! I'm glad your mom came to help with your surgery, but she might need knee replacements after all that time on the floor with Makena. Good luck with getting us another neice/nephew. Hopefully the surgery will be as successful as last time!
ReplyDeleteI am super jealous of your shorts and t-shirts! Send some of that weather our way :) She looks like she was having such a great time. It's probably so fun for you guys to have her at the age where she understands holidays like these.
