"Christmas Around The World"

Everyone knows that I have been in California for a month now and get to stay for another month and a half. Many also know that I came out last year as well. People keep asking so I am finally getting around to showing you. This is Christmas Around The World. We take people on tours through different countries (this year we are up to 30) and tell them the customs and traditions of Christmas in each country.
This is the entrance to Germany. Lester is our tallest nutcracker and we have over 700 this year.
We take people to China and Japan.
We talk about the Posada, Pinata, and Poinsettia in Mexico.
We take them through Peru and this year Colombia.
We take them through England, Scotland, and many countries in Scandinavia. This is Holland, where we talk about Sinter Klause and wooden shoes.
In Ireland, we talk about Holly and "The 12 days of Christmas"
We take them through the USA. Does that guy in red look familiar?
We take them to Poland, France, Turkey, and many more.
If you want to see more go to www.christmasworldevert.com to see a video tour and more info. If you live in California, we would love to see you.

Rootinest! Tootinest! Cowgirl In The West!!!

For Halloween this year, Makena wanted to be Jessie (from Toy Story). She was so excited to have cowboy boots and a hat. I loved the outfit so much I had to go get her picture taken. Then I had to wait for Chris to be done with work because I could not narrow down which shots I wanted. So between the two of us we narrowed it down to 10. I know just imagine if I had not waited for Chris!!!!! She was just too cute!

Orr Family Farm!!

For our playgroup last week we got to go to the Orr Family Farm. Makena was so excited when we drove up and she saw the barn. She knew there was animals and she wanted to see them all.

They got to pet animals.

They got to jump on a "jumping pillow" as they called it.

They got to ride a train.

They got to ride rides.

They got to go on a merry-go-round.

They got to go on a tractor ride.

Of course, they got to pick pumpkins.

This was not all of our group, but was most of the kids we could get in one spot at one time.

And yes, they even got to ride on horses. Her horses' name was Annie. Makena was so sad when I was showing her the pictures of her riding, because she had forgotten her cowboy hat, boots, pants, and shirt to ride the horse. "She is being Jessie for Halloween"

They had adorable decorations all over the farm.

These hay pumpkins were my favorite.

"3" Times Better!

We take Makena to get her picture done every year. Here is her three year old picture. She was in a great mood and did such a good job for the photographer. Can't believe she is three already. She is such a joy in my life and we love that she is part of our little family.

Also, because she had such a pretty princess dress, I had to take her in and get pictures done in that dress as well.

"Bow" dacious

My friend wanted me to post the pics of the corker bows that I have been making. I love making these because they look adorable on pigtails, but you can also use just one on a ponytail. They do take some time to make, but the steps are easy. I just have fun finding different ribbon and mixing new colors. The first ones are "princess bows", green and white, and then black and hot pink.

These next ones are Christmas, Valentines, and then brown and pink.

These are Halloween, Ladybug, and Fruity Tutti (as I call them).

Balloons, Balloons, And More Balloons!

Makena has a total love for balloons. I think it started when I was working at Albertson's as the florist. She would get a balloon almost every time she would come pick me up at the store. I saw this adorable idea online and thought it was perfect for her. We set our alarm so that we would wake up before her and we filled her room with balloons. When she woke up she came running into our room soooooo excited, saying "momma there are lots and lots and lots of balloons in my room" She loved it.
